A quick hello from London

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a great week so far!

People who know me well are very aware there are three things in life that I love unconditionally: cats, sleeping, and food. And because my love for the latter has been growing quite big, I decided to spend my day off having a walk around Borough Market.

I am sure many potterheards might be familiar with the place, but for those of you who are not, let me give you a small sneak peek:

Borough Market is one of the most popular yet oldest food markets in London, with more than a thousand years old. Not only British television chef celebrities have promoted the market but also many important movie scenes have been recorded in the market’s alleys and streets as happened with Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) and even Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004). It also appeared in the Savage Garden music video for “Hold Me”, amongst many other examples.

If you ever have the opportunity to walk around Borough Market, you will find these little charming stands with all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, oils, teas, cheese, game and freshly baked bread and pastries.

You can even find organic milkshakes, coffee and natural fruit juices. I must confess I couldn’t resist the temptation of treating myself to a fresh watermelon juice!

With the mission of exploring these London streets, I decided to wear a casual look that can relate to the city and the period of the year we are at. As the weather was still –actually, not so– warm, I picked this denim mini skirt, inspired by Alexa Chung and the fall season together with these black classic bluchers from Zara. I decided to complement the look by adding a crossover -and slightly checked- coat with a simple plain white T-shirt. There are days where simplicity just wins.

There are a few places in every city and in every town that have the power to make us feel better and improve our mood. This would be one of mines, which ones are yours? I would love to know.

Yours,

Fatima

Thanks to those very few of you who read me! This is the first time I take photos myself so please, don’t be too harsh!

final-thanks
