Spring lookbook | Age and cultural pressure

I would like to start today’s blog post quoting Aimee Song: “(…)  maybe age shouldn’t matter, we’re all on our own timelines. There shouldn’t be a certain age when you need to get married or have kids.” It is a fact women have been put through different age and cultural pressures.

How do I find inspiration for my blog posts

In order to start this post I’d like to hold your hand and take you with me back in time, when I was a student at university. My major was translation and, as young little apprentices, my classmates and I had to translate quite a few scientific articles during our second and third year at university. It was at some point then, that I was reading some random science article that stated our best ideas come to us when our minds are relaxed. Call it in a pub surrounded by friends, during bath time, before falling asleep or even while practising a sport.

This was a life changing moment for me. Why? Because ever since that moment I always carry around a notebook everywhere, just in case. You can call me crazy notebook lady all you want, but I never ran out of ideas ever since.

A day in the life of a starting fashion blogger

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

Today I will be sharing with you my blogging routine. I am not quite sure my friends, family, workmates and you, who are reading this, know what are the must tasks for every starter blogger to do every week in order to keep her/his blog going. Please, note I have been doing this for a year and I am not a senior expert. I keep learning every day and on the go and my routine is build based on my personal blogging experience.

Happy one year

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

Many thanks for supporting me and for all the reads I had on the blog over the past few posts. It seems that we are growing here. How exciting is that?!

Those who follow my IG stories already know, but for those of you who don’t, this week Mind the Shoes is becoming 1 year old.

Blogging is one of the best things that’s happened to me so far this year and I feel really thankful and blessed for it.

About being a real badass

Hi everyone!

I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far.

This is my first weekend posting on the blog. After the unexpected popularity of my latest blog post, I am quite excited about posting twice a week, and I look forward to do this more often. Let’s give it a try and see if we can make it work together, you and I.

Recently, I found myself reading “You are an awesome badass” by Jen Sincero, for the third time. Before you start judging me by the title of the book, I would like to clarify the below:

Dans le noir – Dining in the dark

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re having a nice week so far!

I once met a stranger who was moving to Australia in just a few months. Since I can’t stop my imagination and impulsivity, the first reaction I had was building up a list of things I could do with a stranger in London to make the most of the city before my new stranger friend moved away.

Sadly, we never made it. But I kept the list, and being as stubborn as I am, I continued striking items out of it. This post corresponds to the episode of “dining in the dark”, which would be item number 3 of my list.

A dress and the sea

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are doing great and you’re having a nice week so far.

Not like I am feeling homesick. But I must confess, with the glorious weather we’ve had in London for the past few days I found myself using the words “seaside”, “beach” and “Spain” rather frequently over the past 48 hours.

It was yesterday, while I was wearing this very summery dress, that I became aware of this fact. I couldn’t help but remember the last time I wore this floral silk piece in Spain, during my last summer holidays.

A day together in London

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

As every Wednesday, I am excited to be back with a new post for you.

Before we start, and as mentioned in my Instagram stories, I wanted to thank you for your kind support. I know there are a few of you genuinely reading my content. Also, thanks for noticing I am back and for those very few support messages. This really touched me and reminded me of the reason why I wanted to start a blog.

Today I wanted to take you with me through London’s streets. I’ve wanted to share with you the places I love to go to on my days off. In order to carry out this mission, my friend Patricia kindly agreed on documenting a day together in London during her stay.

If you haven’t met her yet, please, take a look at my previous blog post to know more about her!
