Spring outfit | Floral dress & leather jacket

One of the things I enjoy the most about my spring days in London is exploring new hidden spots and streets in London.

I have, in fact, recently solidified a new spring tradition with my best friend, Marietta. Every Sunday, we will grab our Cannon cameras and so we will wander around the streets of our favourite areas. It gives us the feeling of being two Alices in Wonderland.

One of our favourite spots is fairly close to Victoria. I absolutely love the peaceful streets, the little cafes and the London style white houses.

Spring look | Casual in the city

It all happened very quickly: I quit my toxic job, I flew to Istanbul, I spent a week in Spain, I started a new job and I moved in to a new flat. All of this happened in a record time of 1 month. I do genuinely look forward to sharing about this process with you on the blog as soon as I settle down and I go back to my one post per week routine.

With all the packing and the changes, I have just finally managed to give myself a little two hours break at the new flat, while I am enjoying a very inspiring view of London from my new living room with a hot chocolate.

How do I find inspiration for my blog posts

In order to start this post I’d like to hold your hand and take you with me back in time, when I was a student at university. My major was translation and, as young little apprentices, my classmates and I had to translate quite a few scientific articles during our second and third year at university. It was at some point then, that I was reading some random science article that stated our best ideas come to us when our minds are relaxed. Call it in a pub surrounded by friends, during bath time, before falling asleep or even while practising a sport.

This was a life changing moment for me. Why? Because ever since that moment I always carry around a notebook everywhere, just in case. You can call me crazy notebook lady all you want, but I never ran out of ideas ever since.

Rome and its 7 wonders

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re having a nice week so far.

I think we all go through that moment in life when we close our eyes and we imagine how our lives would be if they were perfect and everything worked the way we wanted to.

I felt like that in Rome. All four days I’ve spent in that city were exactly how I imagined my perfect life would look like. As a matter of fact, I would define my trip to Rome as the perfect way to escape reality and surround myself with beautiful art.

Autumn outfit of the day inspiration

Hello my beautiful people,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

A lot has happened since Halloween: I just came back from a visit to Rome which I will be sharing with you next week (can’t wait!), I have a special guest visiting London for the next few days and I am working on a couple of small projects on the side for the blog. Sadly, my hands -and time- are a little bit tied up these days. I wish my days were longer or, at least, I wish my weekends lasted a bit longer (let’s say 3 days, is it a lot to ask?).

With my running up and down to strike every item of my daily to-do lists, and in order to save myself some time, I have created a small fall look book: a turquoise mole skin sketch book where I draw all of my outfit ideas and plan my closet per season for the blog.

A day in the life of a starting fashion blogger

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

Today I will be sharing with you my blogging routine. I am not quite sure my friends, family, workmates and you, who are reading this, know what are the must tasks for every starter blogger to do every week in order to keep her/his blog going. Please, note I have been doing this for a year and I am not a senior expert. I keep learning every day and on the go and my routine is build based on my personal blogging experience.

Outfit of the day – Palazzo trousers

How are you? I hope you are having a nice week so far!

While I am still enjoying my warm holidays away from what I now call home, I am working on my personal closet. A task that makes me –REALLY- excited. I genuinely feel like kid playing Legos.

When spring begins, I like to give a fresh update to my closet. I start looking for new inspiration and ideas to repopulate it. I love reading fashion blogs to find new ideas, explore every single Fashion Week catwalk from the Vogue Runaway app, read magazines and nose around my favourite online stores every now and then… I love to travel in order to get fresh and new inspiration from the way people from different cultures dress up and express themselves. Even art galleries and music can strongly influence my closet selection.

I start rebuilding and adapting my dressing up code and style according to my personal taste and to my humble fashion freshly new acquired knowledge.

I am sharing with you the outfit from my previous blog post hoping that you might find some inspiration when you feel like you want to add a small change to your closet or you simply are looking for new ideas to dress up!

6 reasons why should you live abroad at least once in your life

Hi everyone,

I hope you are having a nice week so far!

This week’s post came with one day of delay as I have been travelling to Spain! And I couldn’t be more excited about being on my way back home, driving at ninety down those country lanes, like Ed Sheeran would say. Or probably not. No, I don’t think he would say this… but in my head, I like to imagine he sings everything he does in real life.

No, ladies -and gents, if any!-, I am not getting distracted from the main topic of today’s post. In fact, this post has been inspired by the song “Castle on the Hill”, created by the abovementioned ginger haired human being.

Sharing my shopping items with you

Hi everyone!

I hope you are having a nice Wednesday so far.

I can’t believe how long it’s been since the last time I wished you were having a nice Wednesday…

This new year has begun and January is finally already over! You are now probably expecting a sentence such as “I can’t believe how time flies” or perhaps “this month has passed in a blink of an eye”. For me, January has been an interesting month as I went through a few personal circumstances where I could not dedicate myself to the blog.

Nevertheless, I have not forgotten about this small world I created named Mind the Shoes. I kept on peparing content for you on the side and I am really excited to start sharing it with you every Wednesday as usual, now that I am feeling recovered and full of energy.

Let’s start with some exciting YouTube news: I have just uploaded my first Haul video. You can now check it out here:
