Spring lookbook | Age and cultural pressure

I would like to start today’s blog post quoting Aimee Song: “(…)  maybe age shouldn’t matter, we’re all on our own timelines. There shouldn’t be a certain age when you need to get married or have kids.” It is a fact women have been put through different age and cultural pressures.

One of the things I enjoy the most about my spring days in London is exploring new hidden spots and streets in London.

I have, in fact, recently solidified a new spring tradition with my best friend, Marietta. Every Sunday, we will grab our Cannon cameras and so we will wander around the streets of our favourite areas. It gives us the feeling of being two Alices in Wonderland.

One of our favourite spots is fairly close to Victoria. I absolutely love the peaceful streets, the little cafes and the London style white houses.

It all happened very quickly: I quit my toxic job, I flew to Istanbul, I spent a week in Spain, I started a new job and I moved in to a new flat. All of this happened in a record time of 1 month. I do genuinely look forward to sharing about this process with you on the blog as soon as I settle down and I go back to my one post per week routine.

Mind the Shoes - London fashion look

With all the packing and the changes, I have just finally managed to give myself a little two hours break at the new flat, while I am enjoying a very inspiring view of London from my new living room with a hot chocolate.

A little pause

Hi everyone,

How are you? I hope you are having a nice week so far!

I have so much to share with you this month, especially after reorganizing my photo-shoots and spending an entire weekend taking photographs of Rome.

So far, November seems to be a happy month, full of inspiration. And if I’m being completely honest with you, it has been an exhausting month too. I have travelled, I have been studying quite a lot, I kept working at my full time job, I’ve been working on Mind the Shoes’ side projects and, of course, I had my sister visiting for a week.

I needed to take a little break this week, have a rest and enjoy some London alone time. (By the way, have you ever thought of going to the cinema on your complete own? I feel like dating the city, just like Carrie Bradshaw did in Sex and the City.)

Today’s about a very basic outfit I wore for a Sunday brunch in South Kensington, about two weeks ago.
